Memorial Plaque Dedications
There are special Jewish traditions on the anniversary of a death, or yahrzeit. Loved ones light a 24-hour candle in the home beginning at sundown the evening of the yahrzeit, make charitable contributions and attend services to recite the Mourner’s Kaddish. At TI, we read names of the deceased just before reciting Mourner's Kaddish on the Friday evening and Shabbat morning prior to a yahrzeit date. We also light memorial plaques in the Sanctuary before sundown on the Shabbat before a yahrzeit and whenever there is a Yizkor Service.
To establish a permanent memorial in our Sanctuary for a loved one, please complete the form below. If you are ordering more than one plaque, please fill out a separate form for each one. Please note: The manufacturer is unable to guarantee that plaques will be ready by a set date. You will be notified as soon as your plaque arrives at TI.
Questions? Please email Sheri Blonder.
The deadline to order plaques before the 2024/5785 High Holidays is June 14, 2024.
After that date, we cannot guarantee your plaque will arrive on time.
