Honoring TI Babies and Parents

Past Event

All families with babies and children born or adopted in the past year will be called to the Bima for an honor.

 

Details: Please let us know the name of the new addition to your family, date of birth, the names of the adults responsible for the little one, and whether you will be able to attend on November 1st.

Poster: We would like to make a poster of all the new arrivals. Please send a picture of the child (with or without the rest of the family - your choice) to

February Full Moon Hike

Sunday, February 21st , 7:30 p.m.

 

Phases of the moon

Meet at TI at 7:30 p.m.

We will go from TI into Rock Creek Park and back.

Should be done by 9:00 p.m.

Chocolate treats at half way point.

Hikers should bring a flashlight.

Wear layers and good footwear.

Open House | Himmelfarb Hebrew School

The Himmelfarb School will host its annual Open House.

Any visitors will have the opportunity to see our classes in action,
meet the school’s leadership, and learn all about what makes
our school such a special learning community.

9:15 - 9:35       Shacharit service with the Himmelfarb School

9:35 - 9:45       Welcome and Orientation with Director of Lifelong Learning

9:45 - 10:15    Students visit classes with their parents

10:15 - 11:15  Students remain in classes, parents meet with Head of School and TI leadership

11:15 - 12:00  Snack and play time on the TI playground

12:00 - 12:15  Stories and song with the Himmelfarb School

If you RSVP in advance we cna provide babysitting, and since we will have refreshments for parents and snacks for kids, we would like to know how many people are attending.

Tour | US Holocaust Memorial Museum

 

Join us on Sunday February 28th 
at 11:00 a.m. at the Museum

Gather with fellow TI-ers as we explore this living memorial to the Holocaust.

We’ll meet in the museum’s 14th Street lobby at 11:00 am. Our tour will be led

by TI member, educator, and historian, Cynthia Peterman. Admission to the

 museum is free, but to make sure we all meet as a group, please sign up by
